Bertha Krise has been a lifelong member of Orange Baptist Church and always attended when she was in Virginia. She volunteered in the nursery during her early years, rocking babies to sleep. She was a member of the Kay Culpepper women's circle for many years. She was known for her coleslaw and Baptist Pound Cake that she brought to many a church dinner.
